Academic Year 2019-2020 Saturday Program Dates

April: 4, 25 May 9, 16, 30 June 6 (8th grade graduation)
Other Important Dates:
Placement Workshop (for 5th and 8th grade families) - August 28th @ 6PM - Tillinghast Hall Room 145 - Director of Placement Mabel Rodriguez, will walk families through the process of finding their child a place in a suitable middle school or high school. This includes the application process for: independent schools, Catholic Schools, NYC Specialized High Schools, charter schools and high achieving public schools. Look for an email and please RSVP to be included.
Re-Enrollment Period (by Appointment ONLY) - September 23rd - October 4th from 9AM-12PM - Summer on the Hill Office - All families must re-enroll for the Saturday Program. You MUST make an appointment to be seen. Please bring all of your completed re-enrollment documents and bus fees if you require bus service for your child. (No registration fee is due for the Saturday Program, unless you are a newly enrolled 6th grade family. New families must pay a $50 registration fee.)
Please note that our office is closed for Rosh Hashanah September 30, 2019 and October 1, 2019.
Open Re-Enrollment Morning (for all families) - October 5th 9AM - 11AM - Lower Division Gym - All families must re-enroll for the Saturday program. You can do so at the Open Re-enrollment morning without an appointment. Please bring all of your completed re-enrollment documents and bus fees if you require bus service for your child. Independent Schools Financial Aid Information Session— Saturday, November 2nd 9AM-10:30AM - Lower Division Cafeteria - SOH Families applying to independent schools are welcome to join us for an information session with Horace Mann’s Director of Enrollment Management (including Financial Aid), Mrs. Lisa Moreira, to learn more about how to apply for financial aid for independent schools. RSVP information will be emailed.
Horace Mann Admissions Luncheon for SOH Applicants - November 23rd @ 3:00PM- 4:00PM - Cohen Dining Commons, HM Upper Division. Families applying to Horace Mann are invited for a luncheon with Horace Mann’s Head of School, Dr. Tom Kelly, HM’s Director of Admissions, Mr. Jason Caldwell, Director of Financial Aid, Mrs. Lisa Moreira, and several SOH alum who are Horace Mann students to learn about applying to Horace Mann and life at the school.
